Lithium-ion battery is maintenance-free, has hermetic package and needs no special battery-charging room for charging (proved by the fire service and independent examination).
Fast charge - double efficiency
Fast charge (1-2 hours) and absence of the "memory effect" provide an effective use of the downtimes (lunches, shift changes, etc.) for charging the battery. As a result a single lithium-ion battery replaces two lead-acid batteries, which require a longer charging period (8-12 hours).
Long service life - double durability
Total cycle durability of lead-acid batteries is at most 1500 "charge/discharge" cycles, and in the mid-range segment is 1000 - 1200 cycles. The cycle durability of lithium-ion cells (with lithium-iron phosphate cathode) is not less than 3000 "charge/discharge" cycles. Lithium-ion battery will serve two to three times longer than lead-acid battery.
High energy efficiency and reduction of electricity costs
The use of lithium-ion batteries lets to reduce of power consumption on 25%, approximately. It is a substantial savings, because the annual electricity costs is equal to 20% of the batterys price.
Easy of operation
Lithium-ion batteries could be charged right in the workplace. There is no need to remove the battery from a forklift for charging.
